If I could bottle the feeling of this wedding day, I would.

It was that good.

Jordan and Seth (she/her, he/him) flew in from Houston, Texas to get married in the Columbia River Gorge- one of the most beautiful corners of Oregon, and genuinely one of my favorite places to photograph. Gorge Crest Vineyards sits right across from Mt. Hood, and on their wedding day, the mountain showed up in the softest, dreamiest way. Overcast skies, crisp fall air, and the kind of quiet that makes everything feel more intimate.
From the moment I met Jordan, I knew I was in for it. She’s warm, hilarious, emotional in all the right ways, and the kind of person you instantly just…click with. Seth has that same grounded contagious energy—kind vibes, steady presence, and a smile that doesn’t leave his face. Together, they made the whole day feel easy, and so grounded.
Their details were timeless and intentional: soft blues woven throughout the florals, little vintage touches layered into the day, elegant bridesmaid gowns, and trees absolutely on fire with autumn color. They chose Mac Miller instrumentals for the aisle (elite), and every guest there brought this mix of joy, sentiment, and chaotic-fun energy that made the day feel full and alive.
They shared their private vows before the ceremony- just the two of them. No audience. No distractions. I cried. Fully cried behind my camera. There was something about the way they looked at each other,  the way their voices cracked, the way the energy just held its breath around them.  It was one of those moments you don’t forget.
The ceremony itself felt like a scene out of a movie. Mt. Hood framed behind them, clouds layered across the sky, Jordan’s dress catching the wind, Seth unable to stop smiling (and tearing up). When he dipped her during the recessional, the whole crowd cheered like they were watching their best friends fall in love for the first time.
Later, as the sun disappeared and the twinkle lights came on, they slow danced to “Snowshoes” by Camp (again elite)-  wrapped up in each other, surrounded by the vineyard, the world getting quiet around them. It was soft. It was intentional. It was so them.
They also chose film and videography for their day, and honestly? It completed the story. The grain, the movement, the texture- it all felt exactly like the wedding did: warm, nostalgic, and full of heart.
Their family and friends were hilarious and genuine, the kind of group you instantly want to be around. It felt like everyone was fully present, fully invested, fully there to love them. Being welcomed into that kind of environment is never lost on me- it’s an honor every single time.
Jordan & Seth, thank you for trusting me with your story. Thank you for the laughter, the “yapping,” the tears, the chaos, the quiet moments, the wild ones, and everything in between. This day will stay with me for a long time.

This experience with them was not just a memory—it was a beginning of it all.

Mac Miller down the aisle, private vows that had me crying behind the camera, and twinkle lights under Mt. Hood — this Gorge Crest wedding had everything.

A review from the couple:

I inquired with Katelyn before I even secured my venue because I knew I HAD to have her capture my wedding day. She was the first vendor I booked. From the beginning, she felt like a friend — and when my wedding day arrived, meeting her felt like reconnecting with someone I’d known forever.
I fell in love with her photos and her artistic eye, and I waited for my wedding day knowing she would capture it better than I could imagine. You can feel the emotions in every photo, like a story pulled straight from a book.
On the wedding day, she kept asking about the vibe and what I wanted, but I didn’t want to give any direction because I trusted her completely. No matter what’s in front of her lens, she captures it in the most creative and beautiful way possible.
My wedding was just a few days ago and she already had previews ready — edited so exquisitely they made me, my husband, our families, and our friends cry all over again. I never doubted for a moment that anything would be missed. Her passion shows in every single image.
I will recommend Katelyn, Yara, and her team to everyone for the rest of my life. My wedding was beyond perfect, and I am so grateful they were a part of it. I will cherish my day, my photos, and this friendship forever.
We love you, Katelyn!!
