Some sessions don’t feel like work-they feel like witnessing art unfold. Madison and Daniel met us at Wahclella Falls with a simple vision: to reconnect with their inner child, to celebrate their playful love, and to let the wild landscape of the Columbia River Gorge hold them while they did it.

We started at Wahclella, where the mist kissed their skin and they danced barefoot on mossy rocks. This wasn’t your typical Oregon couples shoot- this was inner child healing in real time. Soft touches. Big belly laughs. The kind of electric energy that only comes from two people who really see each other.

From there, we made our way to Horsetail Falls. They didn’t just admire the water- they got in. They swam, they splashed, they held each other like no one else was watching. Daniel, who had bought a necklace when he was sixteen for the woman he’d one day marry, gifted it to Madison when he proposed overseas. He’s also written her poetry. (Yes, I cried. No, I’m not sorry.)

As golden hour crept in, we chased the light up to Vista House. The sky put on a show while they leaned into the moment, barefoot and wrapped in retro ‘70s vibes. Think flowy sleeves, windblown hair, and the kind of quiet intimacy that feels like a vintage film still.

This Columbia River Gorge engagement-style session was cinematic, nostalgic, and absolutely soaked in intention. Whether you’re planning an adventure engagement session in Oregon or just looking for inspiration to document your love in a way that feels like you-this is your sign to go all in.

Daniel's Poem:
you bring me moments of magic when you lay your heart on mine
we become one and touch what is divine
as i feel your warmth and the rhythm of your heart in time
everything melts away, only our love is left to shine
i wrote you this poem because you are my home

Goosebumps. Every time.

Rooted in magic, inner child healing, and free spirited love.
